Brief story summary: Florentina May (the teacher) sees Johnny, and it turns out they went to college together, and Johnny quite and they haven't seen each other since.

Miss May has since become a teacher and is in the zoo because she likes drawing exotic birds and because she wants to look for interesting stuff for her students.

Johnny tells her he's a ranger and helps Uncle Willy and the gang take care of the zoo. She asks if the zoo has a secretarybird because she just found out about it online. Of course the zoo doesn't have one yet, but Johnny says we can totally get one 🙂
